Hannah Colmer is a Grand Rapids–based graphic designer with experience spanning in-house, agency, and freelance work.
She creates visually compelling designs that balance aesthetics with clarity, delivering solutions that communicate efficiently and resonate with audiences.
Born and raised just outside Flint, Michigan, Hannah earned her BFA in Graphic Design from Grand Valley State University in 2017. During her time there, she combined hands-on design projects with leadership opportunities that broadened her creative perspective. In 2016, she interned at a print company in Dublin, Ireland, where she gained insight into international design practices and the print production process.
After graduation, Hannah began her career at a Detroit-area digital agency, designing for clients ranging from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles to local entertainment venues. She later joined Merrell, where she worked on trade shows, campaign launches, and store redesigns—fulfilling her dream of designing in the footwear and apparel industry. In 2021, she took on a new challenge as an in-house designer for a Grand Rapids–based fastener company, expanding her expertise in corporate branding and product-focused creative.
Hannah thrives on collaboration and brings a well-rounded perspective shaped by her diverse professional experiences. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, continued learning, running, and spending time outdoors.
